Darmasiswa Indonesia Scholarship 2024/2025

DARMASISWA is a one-year non-degree scholarship program offered by the Indonesian government to all non-Indonesian citizens from countries which Indonesia has diplomatic relations with (including Colombia) to study Indonesian language, arts, music, crafts and other specific subjects at 72 Indonesian higher education institutions selected in various cities in Indonesia. 

This program is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MoECRT), Ministry of Finance (MoF), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The main objective of the Darmasiswa program is to increase and cultivate interest in Indonesian Language and Indonesian Culture among citizens from other countries. It is also designed to increase mutual understanding and provide stronger cultural bonds between different nations.

Prospective awardees are required to register and submit all documents in Darmasiswa official website apply.darmasiswa.kemdikbud.go.id.

The scholarship's coverage includes a monthly living allowance that will be received by awardees, IDR 4,700,000/month; a book allowance of IDR 2,000,000 (one-off); and a settlement allowance of IDR 4,700,000 (one-off).

Awardees will also be provided with accommodation and transportation during the Orientation Program if their time of arrival aligns with the schedule provided by the MoECRT.

Awardees are advised to bring extra money (better in USD) for their personal unforeseen expenses in Indonesia.

The scholarship is open to foreign nationals who have completed secondary education or its equivalent, with a minimum age 18 years and a maximum age limit of 32 years (special for this year). Prospective awardees should be able to communicate in English (proven by English Language Proficiency Certificate: TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS or OTHER CERTIFICATE if applicable), be in good health as proven by a medical certificate, and have basic knowledge of and strong interest in the applied field.
