Japan Internship Program 2024

This internship program is sponsored by METI (Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) and is mainly targeted for university students from developing countries (Colombia is included). The organizer will arrange the necessary equipment, travel expenses, stay expenses, etc. After joining the internship, there is a chance to proceed to the interview for a position in the company.
Those who are enrolled or graduated from a university outside Japan may apply. Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3 or above) or English is needed and applicants must have not participated in this project from fiscal year (FY) 2016 to FY 2023.
You can check the list of companies currently seeking interns. Review the required skills and find the companies that match your qualifications before applying. Please note that you need to apply to this internship first before you can apply to individual companies.
Benefits include pre-training for interns (The training will include an overview of the project, the process of participating in the internship, precautions and key points of the internship, and Japanese work qualifications); assistance in obtaining a visa to come to Japan; arrangement of round-trip airline tickets; arrangement of accommodation; provide PCs necessary for the internship (offline courses will be provided by the company; online courses will be provided by the program (JIP) office in principle after separate consultation); activity support costs depending on the number of internship days (Offline course: 3,000 JPY per day; online course: local currency equivalent to 1,000 JPY per day); internship insurance.
Deadline: Sunday 30 June 2024 (please take into account the 14-hour time difference between Japan and Colombia)
Online information sessions will be held Monday 24 and Wednesday 26 June 2024 19:00-20:00 Japanese Standard Time (05:00-06:00 Colombian time). Those interested should apply to attend.
